CANTS I enCANTS DEL DONA. Concert in the voice of a woman. Poems set to music by women poets, Catalan and foreign, such as Mercè Rodoreda, Maria Mercè Marçal, Montserrat Abelló, Àngels Gregori, Dolors Miquel, the Ukrainian poet Anna Ahkmàtova, Forugh Farrojzad of Iran or Maya Angelou, the African-American artist, the Frenchwoman Anne Sylvestre or Guillermina Motta… and also by creators such as Ovidi Montllor and Vicent A. Estellés who have paid tribute to her. A show that revolves around the feelings expressed in the voice, in the magic of words and the power of music.

Singer Mariona Sagarra, known for her risky artistic initiatives , establishes a complicity between the poems. She draws a broad mosaic of stories and emotions, recreating them and combining them in a new and very personal interpretation.

For this concert Mariona Sagarra will share music and repertoire with guitarist and composer Raül Costafreda.
